Abies nordmanniana or Causican Fir is native to the Western Caucasus’s and Northern Turkey. It was originally introduced into the Uk. Around 1840 however in the last four decades it has become one of the premier conifers used for Christmas trees. Our pot grown trees make superb Christmas trees. Their thick, blue green, slightly aromatic foliage, and robust stature give them real presence. As with all our potted trees, these lovely trees are grown in their pots. This is very different from the majority of potted trees, which have simply been chopped from the ground and put in a pot prior to delivery. That type of potted tree seldom survives as most of the root is left behind. Growing this tree in a pot will allow you to keep it a reasonable size for years, however please be aware that these are eventually very large and majestic trees of superb quality. Left to grow naturally they are not suitable for a small garden. While they can be pruned to restrict the growth, this does deprive the tree of its majestic beauty! All our Christmas trees growers hold Global Gap Certification to ensure a high standard of product safety, with requirements on worker safety, health and welfare, and conservation of environment.
Our trees are securely packaged and dispatched from our nursery, next working day on a 24hr. tracked delivery service, to ensure they reach you quickly and safely. Each tree delivery will contain an instruction leaflet to enable you to give your tree the attention it needs to provide a wonderful Christmas experience and to ensure it will continue to grow after Christmas.
Please note: Trees vary in their shape and size, any specification given is approximate.
Although expected to grow from year to year, our Christmas Trees are not subject to our guarantee as we cannot be sure care instructions over the indoor period will be followed.
