A large evergreen compact shrub, leaves are green with a striking white margin. The new growth is flushed purple and contrast beautifully with the established foliage. Holly trees are deciduous, which means that male and female flowers are produced on separate trees. Handsworth New Silver is a female variety so a male tree in the vicinity is needed to produce berries. Any holly will do, just needs to be male. If you wish to plant a male please contact us
